Town hall manager quits

Bishop’s Castle’s refurbished town hall is looking for a new town hall manager after Thomasina Carlyle left yesterday. She had been in the job for six months. The two assistant managers are still in post and will be supported by volunteers until a new town hall manager is appointed.

It’s understood Ms Carlyle resigned some time ago, but agreed to stay on for the celebratory opening weekend.

The weekend was hailed as a big success, as hundreds of people visited for workshops and concerts.

Sorry to see her go. On behalf of the Bishop’s Castle Orchestra I would like to say that she has been a pleasure to work with.

What a shame to lose Thomasina. The first events in the TH have been marvellous, varied and a great success.

I’m sure it’s a difficult position to fulfill, especially in the first months.

Good luck for the future, Thomasina – you did a great job.
