Friday market to expand

Bishops’s Castle’s Friday market could soon be welcoming new stallholders. Six people have applied to run stalls in the market and the Town Council hopes to make room for at least two new traders. Over 70 crimes were recorded in Bishop’s Castle last year, including 15 violent offences. Police statistics show that in the twelve months from December 2010, there were 73 crimes and 78 anti-social behaviour offences recorded.
